Numerical Model Output for Mauna Kea, Hawaii and Vicinity

The Global Forecast System (GFS), formally known as the Aviation Model (AVN), is a global model run operationally at the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) in Washington, D.C. 384-hour simulations are run four times daily, initialized at 00, 06, 12, and 18 UTC. The Mauna Kea Weather Center provides graphical output over Hawaii from all four daily runs, at six hour intervals and 1 degree resolution between 0-180 hours and 12 hour intervals and 2.5 degree resolution between 180-384 hours for each run.
