...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM HST THIS EVENING 
FOR THE ISLAND OF MAUI IN MAUI COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...The island of Maui in Maui County.

* WHEN...Until 715 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in 
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 524 PM HST, radar continued to show a band of moderate to
    heavy showers falling at rates of up to an inch per hour over
    southeast and south slopes of Maui near Kihei, Wailea, and
    Ulupalakua. Additional rain is expected into the evening.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Kahului, Kula, Keokea, Pukalani, Makawao, Haliimaile, Keanae,
    Huelo, Haiku-Pauwela, Kipahulu, Kaupo, Nahiku, Pauwela, Paia,
    Makena, Puunene and Maalaea.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone 
to flooding.

persists.
