...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM HST THIS EVENING FOR THE 
ISLAND OF KAUAI IN KAUAI COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.

* WHERE...The island of Kauai in Kauai County.

* WHEN...Until 645 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in 
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 334 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over the windward
    slopes of Kauai, including portions of the Hanalei and Wailua
    River basins, and Kapaa Stream. Rain was falling at a rate of
    1 to 2 inches per hour and should continue over the next
    several hours.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Lihue, Kapaa, Princeville, Kilauea, North Fork Wailua Trails,
    Wailua Homesteads, Wailua, Hanalei, Moloaa, Anahola, Wainiha,
    Haena, Na Pali State Park, Wailua River State Park,
    Kalihiwai, Kealia, Hanamaulu and Puhi.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone 
to flooding.
