...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 PM HST THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE 
ISLAND OF KAUAI IN KAUAI COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.

* WHERE...The island of Kauai in Kauai County.

* WHEN...Until 1230 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in 
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 926 AM HST, radar indicated heavy showers and
    thunderstorms over western and northern portions of Kauai.
    Rain is falling at rates up to 2 inches per hour and is
    heaviest over western Kauai. Rainfall intensity within the
    remainder of the advisory area is expected to increase during
    the morning. Localized rain rates up to 3 inches per hour
    will be possible with the strongest thunderstorms.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Kapaa, Kekaha, Princeville, Kilauea, Kokee State Park,
    Wainiha, Na Pali State Park, North Fork Wailua Trails,
    Hanalei, Haena, Wailua Homesteads, Waimea, Polihale, Wailua,
    Moloaa, Mana, Barking Sands, Anahola, Waimea Canyon State
    Park and Kalihiwai.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone 
to flooding.
