Rain is falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. The heaviest rain is currently falling near the coast over and in the vicinity of Laupahoehoe. Rising water levels have been observed in the Honolii Stream and may occur elsewhere. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hilo, Papaikou, Honomu, Pepeekeo, Hakalau, Ninole, Mountain View, Keaau, Laupahoehoe, Glenwood, Volcano, Ookala, Hawaiian Acres, Orchidlands Estates, Wainaku, Paukaa, Kurtistown and Fern Acres.
