The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  The island of Oahu in Honolulu County

* Until 230 PM HST.

* At 1122 AM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over central and 
  windward Oahu. The rain was most intense over Mililani and Kahana 
  with rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Over the next several hours, 
  rainfall will continue to develop over central and west Oahu then 
  move northeastward into windward Oahu.

* Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to...
  Honolulu, Waiahole, Waikane, Pearl City, Aiea, Kahaluu, Ahuimanu, 
  Halawa, Mililani, Waikele, Moanalua, Salt Lake, Wahiawa, Kaaawa, 
  Waipahu, Wheeler Field, Kunia, Punaluu, Kalihi and Kaneohe.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone 
to flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due 
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on 
foot. Turn around, don't drown.

A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect for Oahu until 6 AM HST 
Saturday.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 230 PM HST if flooding 
persists.
