...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 AM HST EARLY THIS 
MORNING FOR THE ISLAND OF KAUAI IN KAUAI COUNTY...

At 426 AM HST, radar indicated moderate to heavy rain falling along 
the southern and eastern slopes of Kauai between Hanapepe and Lihue. 
Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Additionally, 
the Hanapepe River and Wailua River are running at elevated levels. 
Minor flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas can be expected.

* Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to...
  The entire island of Kauai.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone 
to flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due 
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on 
foot. Turn around, don't drown.

A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 545 AM HST if flooding 
persists.
