The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  The island of Oahu in Honolulu County

* Until 645 PM HST.

* At 413 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain falling heavy rain from 
  Kaneohe to Maunawili to Kailua, with rain falling at rates around 
  1 inch per hour. Streams along the windward side remain elevated 
  due to recent rain.

* Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to...
  Ahuimanu, Kahaluu, Waiahole, Kaneohe, Waikane, Kaneohe Marine 
  Base, Maunawili, Kailua, Kaaawa, Kalihi, Manoa, Waimanalo, 
  Punaluu, Heeia, Kualoa, Kahana Valley State Park, Nuuanu, Bellows 
  Air Force Station and Waimanalo Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone 
to flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due 
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on 
foot. Turn around, don't drown.

A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect for the State of Hawaii until 
6 pm HST Friday.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 645 PM HST if flooding 
persists.

This Flood Advisory replaces the previously issued Flash Flood 
Warning that was in effect for The island of Oahu in Honolulu County.
