The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended the

* Flood advisory for...
  The island of Oahu in Honolulu County

* Until 300 PM HST.

* At 1149 AM HST, radar indicated heavy rain showers focused along 
  the windward areas with a few lighter showers spilling over to the 
  leeward side of the island. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 
  inches per hour. Additional heavy showers are expected over the 
  next few hours especially over the windward areas.

* Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to...
  Mililani, Wahiawa, Waialua, Schofield Barracks, Kaneohe Marine 
  Base, Kahaluu, Ahuimanu, Kaneohe, and Wheeler Field.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 300 PM HST if heavy rain
persists.

  The island of Lanai in Maui County

* Until 245 PM HST.

* At 1149 AM HST, radar indicated bands of heavy rain rapidly moving 
  over Lanai from the northwest with rates of 1 to 2 inches per 
  hour. Additional bands will continue to move over the island over 
  the next several hours. 

* This advisory includes the entire island of Lanai.
