The island of Maui in Maui County * Until 800 AM HST. * At 455 AM HST, radar indicated a large area of moderate to heavy rain moving across the windward and southeast slopes of Haleakala on east Maui, extending offshore across the Alenuihaha Channel to north of the Big Island. Rain rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are likely across much of east Maui during the next few hours. * Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to... Hana, Haliimaile, Pauwela, Kipahulu, Paia, Makawao, Keokea, Makena, Haiku-Pauwela, Wailea, Huelo, Ulupalakua and Kula. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
