...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM HST FOR THE
ISLAND OF HAWAII IN HAWAII COUNTY...

At 204 PM HST...radar continued to show separate areas of heavy 
rainfall over the southern Puna District and across leeward slopes. 
Nearly stationary showers persist near and downwind of active 
volcanic fissures just west of Leilani Estates and upslope of 
Highway 130. Spotty showers are flaring across leeward slopes as 
well, mainly in the North Kona and South Kohala Districts. Rain 
rates in the heaviest showers are 1 to 2 inches per hour.

Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to... 
Kailua 
Kona, Captain Cook, Puuanahulu, Honaunau, Kahaluu-Keauhou, Kainaliu 
and Pahoa, and Kalapana.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.
