The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Flood advisory for...
  The island of Oahu in Honolulu County

* Until 1145 AM HST

* At 850 AM HST, radar indicated moderate to heavy rain showers 
  along the north shore of Oahu, extending from Kaena Point to 
  Haleiwa to Kahuku to Laie. These showers will be nearly 
  stationary, with maximum rainfall rates near one inch per hour. 

* Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to...
  Punaluu, Hauula, Kahuku, Waialua, Laie, Haleiwa, Kaaawa,   
  Dillingham Field and Mokuleia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.

rain persists.
