...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM HST FOR THE
ISLAND OF MAUI IN MAUI COUNTY...

At 1155 PM HST...radar indicated that most of the heavy rain over
Maui had diminished, although a few small but fast-moving showers
continue to move rapidly northeast over south Maui. Runoff from
earlier rainfall remains high, and ponding of water is still
occurring in low-lying areas. 

Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to...
windward east Maui and south Maui. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.
