A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...
MAUI COUNTY WINDWARD WATERS...
PAILOLO CHANNEL...

AT 659 PM HST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG
THUNDERSTORM...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS. A LINE
OF THUNDERSTORM EXTENDED FROM THE WINDWARD COAST OF MOLOKAI BETWEEN
KALAUPAPA AND HALAWA VALLEY TO 50 NM NORTHEAST OF THE COASTLINE.
THE LINE IS NEARLY STATIONARY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THIS STORM PASSES.
