Tropical Weather Outlook
NWS Central Pacific Hurricane Center Honolulu HI
800 PM HST Wed Aug 16 2017

For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180W:

Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad area of low
pressure about 750 miles southeast of Hilo, Hawaii remain
disorganized early this evening. Environmental conditions
appear to be marginally conducive for gradual development
during the next 2 to 3 days as the system drifts toward the
northwest. If the system does not develop within 3 days,
hostile conditions are expected to make development unlikely
on days 4 or 5.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected during the next
5 days.
